Dr. Anoop Porwal, our physician, finished his residency in the physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 2004. Physiatrists specialize in restoring optimal function to people with injuries to the muscles, bones, tissue, and nervous system. As he specializes in this field, Dr. Porwal is prepared to increase or restore functional ability and quality of life in those suffering from physical disabilities and deficiencies. Dr. Porwal is trained to care for a wide range of disorders, that may include stroke, multiple trauma, acute/chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, amputee rehab, post-surgical debility, spinal cord injuries, opioid addiction.

Comprehensive rehabilitation services in our office are provided by a physician who specializes in this field, who acts as a facilitator, team leader, and medical expert for rehabilitation.
